The Environmental Quality Study Center has provided technical and scientific support to the Park of Euganean Hills for the implementation of an Environmental Management System conforming to the EMAS Regulation applied in  Abano Terme, Battaglia Terme, Galzignano Terme, Abano Terme and Teolo municipalities.

The application of the EMAS Regulation in this area is aimed on the one hand to deal with environmental issues characterizing it in a global context of territorial protection and enhancement and on the other hand to develop actions and synergies in the implementation of multiple tools that are currently adopted.

By an environmental point of view, the proposed approach makes it possible to identify, analyze, manage and improve in a systemic context an interdependent network of people, services and activities at the base of established environmental impacts.

In addition,  such an approach can result,  in a natural and consequential way,  a coordinated management of the area, and, by going beyond just environmental approach, manages to integrate environmental, economic and social issues.
